Punctuality in Sunday worship is often treated as a technical matter, although habitual lateness also concerns a congregation’s attitude toward worship, fellow believers, and spiritual responsibility. This article reads Ephesians 5:15-16 as a theological basis for building a culture of punctuality at GKDI Ambon and brings the text into dialogue with spiritual discipline, communal life, and habit formation research. The study uses a descriptive qualitative case study approach. Since the source manuscript does not yet contain interview transcripts or field observation notes, the article does not create empirical findings but develops an analytical framework for later field data. The analysis shows that walking carefully, living wisely, and making the most of kairos require responsible use of opportunity. The study’s novelty lies in treating punctuality as an ecclesial discipline shaped by theological awareness, leadership example, communal norms, and repeated behaviour in stable contexts. Punctuality is therefore moved beyond administrative reminders toward congregational habit formation rooted in faith.
