Teologi Keadilan Sosial Dalam Kitab Nabi-Nabi Kecil (Amos, Mikha, Habakuk): Relevansinya Bagi Etika Publik Gereja
Keywords:

The books of Amos, Micah, and Habakkuk occupy a distinctive place within the collection of the Minor Prophets because all three consistently address the issue of justice as a central concern of their prophetic proclamation. Amos denounces the economic exploitation of the poor amid the prosperity of the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the eighth century BC. Micah calls for justice, steadfast love, and humility as the response to the fundamental question of what God truly requires from His people. Habakkuk wrestles with the tension between faith in God's sovereignty and the reality of injustice that appears to be allowed to continue, even through the actions of a nation that is more ruthless. This study examines the theme of social justice in these three books through critical exegesis, taking into consideration their historical contexts, literary structures, and the theological significance of relevant key texts. The findings of this study are then reflected upon in order to formulate their implications for the prophetic role of the church in the contemporary public sphere. This study argues that the theological legacy of the prophets should not be reduced to spiritual discourse confined within the walls of the church, but should serve as a foundation for the church's critical and constructive engagement in speaking for justice in the midst of society.
